Why Coast

Our clients have options. Here is why they choose us.

Most of the businesses we fund could get capital somewhere else. They come to Coast for how the funding is structured and who they get to work with — and they come back because we were straight with them the first time.

The Three R's

Three commitments that decide how we structure every piece of funding we write.

Responsibility

We are the only funding provider explicitly committed to guiding clients toward responsible decisions.

That sounds like a slogan until you see it cost us a deal. Plenty of providers will approve the largest amount your revenue can technically support, because a bigger deal pays better. We size capital to what your business can service in a slow month, and we say so when the number you asked for is more than the business should carry. Early payoff reduces your cost and we encourage it — which is the opposite of how this industry usually works.

In practice: No prepayment penalties. Payment structures matched to cash flow, not to the maximum the business supports.

Relationship

You work with a dedicated Business Funding Advisor — not a sales floor and not a queue.

One person learns your business: how revenue moves through your year, what your margins actually look like, what you are building toward. Your Business Funding Advisor owns that work through underwriting and closing. Once you are funded, a dedicated Client Relationship Manager becomes your primary contact for servicing and renewal — and your advisor stays available as a resource. What you never get is a third-party servicer or a call center: the relationship stays inside Coast end to end, even on programs funded through a partner.

In practice: A named advisor through closing, then a named Relationship Manager after — never a servicing queue.

Renewable

Our programs are built to be a source of capital you can return to, not a one-time transaction.

A line of credit that restores as you repay. Programs that grow as your business does. Most of our funding goes to businesses we have funded before, because the structure was right the first time and the relationship was worth continuing. That only works if we were honest with you at the start — which is why Responsibility comes first.

In practice: Revolving structures that replenish as you repay, and renewal conversations with the advisor who already knows your business.

When Coast Is Not the Right Fit

Worth saying plainly, because finding out three weeks in wastes everyone's time.

You want the biggest number, full stop

We will tell you what we think your business can carry, and it may be less than you hoped. If that is not the conversation you want, we are not the right partner.

You are pre-revenue or under a year in

Our programs are built for established businesses. Below roughly a year of operating history, we usually cannot help — and we would rather say so quickly than waste your time.

You need the absolute lowest rate available

If you qualify for conventional bank financing and can wait out the process, a bank will likely beat us on rate. We are the better option when speed, flexibility or structure matter more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Coast different from other alternative funding providers?

Two things, concretely. First, our advisors are trained to structure funding responsibly rather than to maximize a transaction, so you get told when a number is too high. Second, the relationship stays inside Coast from first call through renewal. A Business Funding Advisor owns underwriting and closing; afterwards a dedicated Client Relationship Manager takes over servicing and renewal, with your advisor still available. Even on programs a partner funds, you are never handed to a third-party servicer. Most providers can match one of those; the combination is unusual.

How is Coast different from a bank?

Speed and flexibility, mainly. We underwrite on how your business actually operates — bank statement history, revenue consistency, the shape of your year — rather than primarily on collateral and tax returns. That means decisions in as little as 24 hours* instead of weeks, and approvals for healthy businesses a bank committee would decline on structure alone. If you qualify for conventional bank financing and are not in a hurry, a bank will often be cheaper. We are honest about that.

Do you work with businesses in my industry?

Coast funds established businesses across hundreds of industries, including several that most providers decline outright — nonprofits being the clearest example. If you are unsure, an advisor can tell you quickly rather than making you apply to find out.

Is my rate going to be competitive?

Rates depend on your business qualifications, the program and the term. Where we consistently add value is in total cost of capital rather than headline rate — the right structure, sized correctly, with no prepayment penalty, often costs less overall than a cheaper-looking product with the wrong shape. Your advisor will walk you through the actual numbers before you commit.*
